Java 17+, a verified Lavalink 4 release from the official project, and a compatible client.

Guided setup

Download and verify Lavalink.jar from the official releases. Place it next to application.yml.

Export LAVALINK_SERVER_PASSWORD in your shell; .env.example is a checklist, not automatically loaded by Java. Run java -jar Lavalink.jar.

Connect your bot client to localhost:2333 using the same password. Review enabled sources and test audio under your expected load.

What is not included

No music bot or audio guarantee is included. YouTube requires a separately reviewed plugin; HTTP/local sources are disabled. Keep this endpoint private. Botkeep does not provision it yet.

The configurator prepares files and settings. Confirm deployment, add your credentials in Environment and check Console to verify startup.

# Lavalink

A guided audio-node configuration, separate from the Discord bot that uses it.

## Requirements
Java 17+, a verified Lavalink 4 release from the official project, and a compatible client.

## Setup
1. Download and verify Lavalink.jar from the official releases. Place it next to application.yml.
2. Export LAVALINK_SERVER_PASSWORD in your shell; .env.example is a checklist, not automatically loaded by Java. Run java -jar Lavalink.jar.

No music bot or audio guarantee is included. YouTube requires a separately reviewed plugin; HTTP/local sources are disabled. Keep this endpoint private. Botkeep does not provision it yet.

Downloading does not deploy anything. The Botkeep preview stores files in your browser but does not execute processes, install packages or activate networking. Do not enter real credentials in the demo. Direct dependencies are versioned: keep generated lockfiles and review updates and vulnerabilities before production.
