Publish HTML, CSS and browser JavaScript. A good fit for project pages, documentation and small portfolios.

Deploy the output, not the toolchain

For plain HTML, the project files are already the output. With React or another build tool, build locally and provide the generated static directory. A development server is not required to serve the result.

URLs and fallback behavior

A multi-page site needs real files or explicit routes. A client-side app may need an index.html fallback for known routes. Unknown pages should return a real 404; our starter includes the page, not a universal server configuration.

Public means public

Every shipped script and embedded configuration can be read by visitors. Never bundle a Discord token or private API key. Contact forms and private data need a separate, authenticated backend.

Files are the persistent artifact

Keep source files and build output in version control or your own backup. Browser localStorage belongs to each visitor, not to shared hosting storage. Domains and HTTPS are not activated by downloading this starter.
